Target:

In this project, we examine the regional pressure impact of CO2 storage in saline aquifers. We simulate the fictitious injection of 25 million tons of CO2 into a typical anticlinal structure of the North-East German Basin and analyse its impact on a neighboring structure, about 30 km away. As numerical simulators, we use ECLIPSE300-CO2STORE (Schlumberger) and MUFTE (Uni Stuttgart).
